Authenticity of customer reviews

For us at VANDAAG it is very important that our customers can rely on us. This applies not only to the quality of our watches or our service, but also to the way we deal with customer reviews.

We would like to take the occasion of the law on the obligation to provide information on ensuring the authenticity of customer reviews, which came into force on 28.5.2022, to say a few words about this.

First of all, we only contact those customers by email for a review who have previously agreed to do so when placing an order. In many other stores - especially the big ones - the buyers basically get a rating request. This is not legally permissible. Of course, we at VANDAAG respect the rights of our customers and do not send these unsolicited mails. We probably receive fewer ratings than others as a result, but we accept that. In addition, our reviews are usually much more detailed than a terse "All good", because the customers are also willing to rate us.

Every consumer review is checked for authenticity before it is published, ensuring that reviews only come from consumers who have actually purchased/used the products being reviewed.

The verification is done in different ways depending on the case:

when we receive a rating by mail, at times the rating form was also open to guests: by manual verification in the form of matching the rating with the order history of the merchandise management system to make a previous product purchase a necessary condition for publication.

by sending individualized links to consumers after completion of an online order that lead to an online rating form and that ensure that access to the rating function is only granted to those consumers who have actually purchased a product

by making the possibility of submitting a review conditional on prior login to a registered customer account from which a purchase has been made.
